Virtual Hangar, Inc. ("Virtual Hangar," "we," "us") operates the VHMX platform and related services at vhmx.virtualhangar.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version, which has been our position from day one: your data is yours, it stays private, and it is never sold.
Information we collect
- Account information. Name, company, email address, phone number, and role (owner, operator, repair station, or supplier) when you create an account or contact us.
- Aircraft and shop details. Tail numbers, aircraft make and model, repair station capabilities, ratings, and parts listings you choose to add to your profile.
- Service records. Maintenance quotes, parts requests, RFQs, bids, and event records created while using our services.
- Usage data. Standard technical information such as browser type, pages visited, and approximate location derived from IP address, used to operate and improve the site.
How we use information
- To provide the services: sourcing parts, coordinating maintenance events, analyzing quotes, and running RFQs on your behalf.
- To communicate with you about your requests, events, and account.
- To operate, secure, and improve the platform.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your data. Full stop. We share information only in these situations:
- With counterparties you choose. When you put work out to bid or request parts, you control what repair stations and vendors see and when you engage with them.
- With service providers. Vendors that help us run the platform (such as hosting and email delivery) under obligations to protect your information.
- For legal reasons. If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Virtual Hangar, our customers, or others.
Cookies and analytics
We use only the cookies and similar technologies needed to run the site, keep you signed in, and understand aggregate site usage. We do not use them to sell or broker your information to third parties.
